This survey is a part of research being carried out at the Department of Computer Sciences, Faculty of Engineering, University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka. The objective of the research is to find out the feasibility and methodologies of using Information Technology in enhancing the comprehension capacity of undergraduate students, particularly in Engineering and Science fields. The research focuses on presenting the incomprehensible (or difficult to understand) ideas (theory) in a way such as 2D and 3D dynamic manipulation of virtual objects on the screen that is easy to grasp. (simulation & animation). Though the research is centred around the Engineering and Science fields the survey may be on any field
